Terms of Service
Last updated: 25 May 2026
By signing up for MyFaves you agree to these terms. They're written to be readable, not lawyered to death.
The deal
MyFaves gives you a personal start page at a subdomain you choose (e.g. yourname.myfaves.io). The free tier is genuinely free — no time limits, no credit card. Paid tiers may be added in future for advanced features; existing free accounts won't be downgraded.
Your account
- You're responsible for keeping your password secure.
- One account per person. Don't share credentials.
- You must give us a valid email and verify it.
- Your subdomain is yours while your account is active. If you delete your account, the subdomain becomes available again after 30 days.
Acceptable use
Don't use MyFaves to:
- Host or link to illegal content.
- Send spam, phish, distribute malware, or impersonate others.
- Abuse the service (scraping, automated signups, denial-of-service, bypassing rate limits).
- Build a "link directory" of someone else's content presented as your own.
- Violate someone else's intellectual property or privacy rights.
We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice depending on severity.
Reserved subdomains
We reserve common subdomains (www, admin, api, etc.) for operational use. We may also reclaim subdomains that are obviously trademark-infringing, abusive, or impersonating well-known entities.
Your content
You own everything you put into MyFaves — your favourites, your settings. We claim no ownership. We need a limited license to store, transmit, and display your content as required to operate the service.
Termination
- You can delete your account anytime by emailing us (self-service deletion coming).
- We can terminate accounts that violate the acceptable-use rules above.
- If we ever shut down the service, we'll give 60 days' notice and provide an export.
Availability and warranty
We aim for high uptime but make no guarantee. The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We're not liable for indirect or consequential damages — and if we are ever liable, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the last 12 months (which is zero on the free tier).
Privacy
See the Privacy Policy.
Changes
We may update these terms. If we change anything material, we'll email account holders at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
Australian law (Western Australia). Disputes go to the courts of Perth, WA.
